What we collect

AreaBol collects the civic report text, selected category, city and locality, a photo, and the GPS coordinates captured with your permission. We do not ask for your name, phone number, Aadhaar number, or home address.

How location is protected

Exact GPS is stored privately for evidence review and authorized civic follow-up. Public pages and public downloads use only an approximate location. Pending photos are visible only to the owner review desk.

Photos

Supported photos are resized and rewritten before upload to remove embedded camera metadata. Do not photograph faces, number plates, personal documents, children, or private property interiors.

Safety and abuse prevention

A privacy-safe one-way identifier may be stored to count visitors, limit spam, prevent repeat confirmations, and handle abuse reports. Raw identifiers are not displayed publicly.

Retention

Reports may be kept while they remain useful for civic evidence, trend analysis, or accountability. Rejected or unsafe material may be removed. A formal deletion request can be sent to the site owner through the contact channel published by AreaBol.

Your choice

Location and photo permissions are requested only when you decide to post. You can browse public reports without submitting personal contact details.
